Moreover the recent studies say that the increased stress will increase the androgen release, which can be a possible reason for the increased outbreak of acne. The medications like prednisone, isoniazid, barbiturates and lithium is also considered to be causative for acne.

The treatment of women acne can be done using normal acne treatments including topical treatments and oral medicines. Benzoyl peroxide, Azelaic acid, sodium sulfacetamide, retinoids, and antibiotics are some of the common medications for acne. Now, the hormonal therapy is prescribed as the effective treatment for acne including oral corticosteroids and antiandrogens.
